How can I modify the performance on ChipWerke?

ChipWerke is delivered with a preset basic setting appropriate for your individual application. The preset Stage 1 mapping will provide approximately 18-35% power and torque gains. You can decrease or increase the unit's aggressiveness with its seven adjustments ranging from -3 to +3 from our free mobile app. The increase in power we offer is the perfect balance between engine safety and fuel consumption. Can I save fuel with ChipWerke? How does it work?

The device's main intent is not fuel economy. However, customers reported an up to 15% increase in their MPG. This is due to significantly increased torque in the lower to mid-RPM range. Your vehicle will have access to more power earlier, and more power and torque will enable early upshifts, resulting in a potential increase in MPG. It all depends on your driving behavior and the characteristics of your vehicle.

 Is ChipWerke detectable by manufacturers and dealer services?

No, it is not detectable once it’s removed. The vehicle turns back to completely stock after the removal, and the device makes no permanent hardware or software changes to the ECU, so detecting it after the uninstall is impossible.

Can I use my old ChipWerke unit in a new vehicle?

Normally ChipWerke is designed to work safely without triggering the limp mode or the CEL. However, due to manufacturer-determined standard tolerances, the power output of ChipWerke might be too high for specific applications. However, you can easily correct it by adjusting the rotary control switch on the unit in just a few steps.
