HOW DOES CHIPWERKE PIGGYBACK MODULE WORK

The ChipWerke piggyback tuning module intercepts the MAP/IAT sensors of the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 under your S5’s hood. The module runs custom software engineered specifically for that engine and recalibrates the readings to increase horsepower and torque by modifying the boost pressure.

A completely safe and reversible alternative to an ECU remap, ChipWerke operates within the factory parameters and does not permanently alter the stock ECU. It intercepts the factory wiring harness with OEM-quality plugs, so no wire splicing, cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications are required. The basic things to consider in all applications are as follows:

Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Leave the driver’s door open for 15 minutes while keeping the keyfob at least 35 feet away from the car to ensure the ECU shuts down completely.
Locate where you want to mount the module. Make sure that it is away from the areas that tend to heat up relatively more.
Make sure the ChipWerke harness is not overly stretched and is protected against water.
Make sure that plugs are securely connected in place and that there are no unused plugs left.
